Olivia Rodrigo spills her “GUTS” (again!) with new live album announcement
It’s no surprise that pop star Olivia Rodrigo is on top of the world. Fresh off the success of her 2nd album, “GUTS” (along with said album’s sold-out world tour), Rodrigo has proven that she’s no sophomore slump.
The singer already has a commemorative “GUTS World Tour” book on the way -set to be published soon. To commemorate the “GUTS World Tour” even further, the singer’s official Instagram fan account (@livieshq) announced last week that a live album will be released this December.
Titled “Live From Glastonbury (A BBC Recording)”, the 2 vinyl LP set will feature Rodrigo’s entire set from Glastonbury 2025. Glastonbury (formally titled Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts) is an annual music festival that takes place in South West England at Worthy Farm. The festival debut in September 1970.
“Live…” will include tracks from both of Rodrigo’s chart-topping studio albums (2021’s “SOUR” and 2023’s “GUTS”) as well as two duets with Robert Smith of The Cure (Olivia brought out The Cure frontman as a special guest during her Glastonbury set to perform a few of his band’s songs).
To sweeten the deal, the singer is offering magenta and periwinkle transparent vinyl variants exclusively through her online store. Standard copies of the LP set will be released on light blue and cobalt blue vinyl. At this time, it’s unclear if this set will be available on CD as well.
The 2 LP set will be released December 5, 2025 through Geffen /Interscope Records (part of Universal Music Group). Proceeds from the featured Olivia x The Cure’s duet tracks will go to Doctors Without Borders, which provides global medical and humanitarian aid.
While Livies continue manifesting over “OR3” [Rodrigo’s untitled 3rd studio album] eventual release, this live album is sure to tide fans over in the meantime.
