Eras Tour : The tour that defied all odds
Eras Tour defied all odds with the constantly changing surprise songs, added tour dates, and a concert experience movie. Eras Tour was the longest of Swift’s career. Swift also provided us with three full-length albums, and now a newly announced 12th album. Fans scrambled over the course of nearly three years to acquire tickets to a fever dream of a show that this tour was expecting to be, all while bringing fans together through Magic, Friendship bracelets, and their love for our beloved “Ms. Americana.” Swift found moments within the tour that brought unexpected joy to her time touring, such as the silly moments with the mop cart that transported her from backstage to the magical main stage, where we all sat and watched through livestream or physical attendance.
Hiding in plain sight
Taylor loves to hide easter eggs within her music, album art, or social media posts. Fans love to spend even more time trying to decode them and “clown” for what comes next, and create theories that others scramble to solve to find the hidden messages. When she started writing “The Life Of A Showgirl” on the Eras Tour, she wanted this album to reflect the Behind-the-scenes takes on the tour with lyrics as well as melodies that were addictive, electric, and vibrant. She left easter eggs for TLOASG such as the A12 (August 12th) sign in a tiktok she posted back in October of 2024, The Lover house burning in flames of orange during “Bad Blood” on the Eras Tour, Showgirl themes during the “Bejeweled” music video as well as the Orange spotlight, Orange fans for the dancers in the “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart” music video and one of the most obvious hints was that at the end of closing night on the Eras Tour instead of exiting using the stage door, she turned and exited from a door as if she was exiting from the Speak Now part of the setlist. Swift says that this door exit was to pay tribute and say goodbye to her beloved Eras Tour and enter into a new Era of her life, such as TLOASG and her newly announced engagement.
