“The Jump”

Hendrik just dropped his most recent single titled “The Jump.” Compared to his earlier tracks Hendrik has evolved on this track, introducing a bright melody and making his fans want to dance around in their living rooms. Starting off strong with trumpets with some Latin ties, Mars asks the listener what took them so long to meet him and tells the listener that he waited his whole life for this moment. Hendrik’s single is full of bright and cheery tunes giving the authenticity of a lover’s dream filled full of hope and positivity.

What are you looking forward to the most when it comes to your upcoming album?

“I’m most excited for people to feel this album, not just hear it. Every track is layered with intention, soul, and a piece of my evolution. I’ve grown a lot spiritually, emotionally, and musically in the past year, and this album captures that journey. I can’t wait to connect with listeners on a deeper level and hopefully offer something that meets them right where they are in their process.”

how would you describe your creative process when you write new music?

“It’s equal parts channeling and craftsmanship. Sometimes the melody or phrase comes to me like a whisper — in a dream, in silence, or during a moment of emotional clarity — and I follow it. Other times, it’s more intentional: sitting down with my instrument and sculpting the feeling I want to convey. I also tend to write in layers — lyrics, chords, emotional landscape — until it all feels like a complete transmission.”

who’s your ideal musician to collaborate with & Why?

“I’d love to collaborate with someone like BØRNS or Polyphia — artists who blend raw emotion with rich, experimental soundscapes. I’m drawn to musicians who push genre boundaries and create something deeply atmospheric and intentional. I think there’s magic in collaborations that blend spirit, melody, and message in unexpected ways.”

do you have any hobbies or interests outside of music?

“Definitely. I’m deeply into spirituality and personal development — meditation, breathwork, and exploring consciousness are all part of my daily life. I also love storytelling, whether it’s through writing, spoken word, or deep conversations. And I’ve got a soft spot for nature — there’s something about being in the jungle or near water that helps me reset and stay grounded.”

are there any past instructors you look up to? what qualities did they have that you admire?

“Absolutely. So many, it’s hard to pick one. The ones who influenced me the most weren’t just technically skilled — they carried a sense of presence and passion that was contagious. The ones I admire most taught not just music, but how to live with intention, courage, and curiosity.”
