Lydia Night announces debut solo album AND teams up with The Aces on tour!

Lydia Night, former The Regrettes frontwoman, has announced her debut solo album, “Parody Of Pleasure”, will be released on Friday August 8th through Warner Records (part of Warner Music Group).

Throughout this past spring-summer, Night has been steadily preparing for her solo debut by drip-feeding fans (whom she lovingly calls “Little Does”) funky bops (the album arrives after three previously-released singles: the sardonic lead single “Pity Party”, “Sucker” era Charli XCX-sounding, “The Hearse” and the slinky “Gutter”).

Night took to Instagram to announce the album release date -along with the caption: “my debut solo album parody of pleasure will be yours 8/8 💛🎂🧡” , complete with cutesy heart and cake emojis. She further explained, “[it’s] my first project of my own and it sounds exactly like who I am right now”, concluding with, “POP forever <3”

The album cover sees Lydia in deep thought at a diner (said diner decked out in 70s aesthetic) while a billboard proudly displays the album title behind her. An official tracklist for “Parody Of Pleasure” was also posted via Night’s official website (see second photo below).
