Glimmers brings the art of shattering to ceremony fest
Glimmers performing on the Row One stage at Ceremony Fest
Set the scene, turn the page: Glimmers kicked off Ceremony Fest back on November 8th at the historic Cannery Hall in Nashville, Tennessee.
Founded by lead vocalist Maggie Schneider pre-covid with one of her best friends and guitarist Alex Downtain in their childhood town of Atlanta, Georgia, Glimmers is EXACTLY what Ceremony Fest needed to kick off their festival. Bold, enthusiastic, unafraid to spark vulnerability within their lyricism.
Prior to their set on the Row One stage, the night before Ceremony kicked off in full swing, the band had just celebrated the release of their debut album “The Art Of Shattering”, which is a curation of songs that describe best where Alex and Maggie are right now in life, where they’re going, even touching upon some of their most vulnerable moments through songs like “Growing Up (I Guess)” and “Jaded”.
After their set, Maggie was slinging merch while talking with fans that were already psyched to see Glimmers open up Ceremony Fest and those who had just discovered what an incredible group they were. This was honestly my favorite part about Ceremony Fest; Seeing the connection between festival goers alike and the artists who put their blood, sweat and determination into helping Ceremony Fest feel like home for everyone in those moments. Maggie was kind enough to let me take a couple of portraits of her as well.
Glimmers is set to perform their first ever show of 2026 at The Masquerade in Atlanta, Georgia on January 17th. Tickets available now below!
