DIE SPITZ brought big, riot grrrl energy to Lincoln Hall

There was no shortage of good times when punk rockers DIE SPITZ performed to a packed crowd at Chicago’s Lincoln Hall last month.

On Wednesday November 12th, the Austin, TX four-piece (consisting of Ava Schrobilgen, Chloe De St. Aubin (Andrews), Ellie Livingston and Kate Halter) proved that punk is definitely not dead.

Chicago was just one of the numerous stops on DIE SPITZ’s “Something to Consume” Tour (in support of their recently released debut album of the same name). The band has another headlining tour beginning February 2026 in the UK/EU as well as a slew of summer 2026 music festivals booked.

Throughout their fast-paced, energetic show, the all-female quartet swapped places handling vocals as well as switching out instruments. And what punk show would be complete without a mosh pit? It was a perfectly chaotic blend of feminism and brash punk rock anthems (oh yeah, and bold hair flips galore).
